Who doesn’t love Halloween? It’s our one chance each year to dress up and indulge in endless amounts of candy. The kids have a great time trick or treating, the adults head out to Halloween parties…
Nevada City especially knows how to have a spooky time during Halloween. With store fronts decked out in Halloween style, Nevada City offers family trick or treating on Halloween evening. It’s a truly “spooktacular” time in town. For those in the know, Broad Street is the place to be on Halloween.
In true Halloween fashion, I’ve been searching for unique ways to decorate. Carving a jack o’ lantern normally goes somewhat like this: purchase the pumpkin, bring home from the store, and it sits on the kitchen table until the day before Halloween when I realize that said pumpkin has not been carved yet and I rush through the tedious process (which results in a not-so-pro hack job).
Not this year! Not going to happen. Instead, I took to Youtube in hopes of finding some help. It came in the form of this video (see below) which features five different how-to’s for carving pumpkins. Who wouldn’t be proud to have one or three of these beauties decorating the front porch?
