With temperatures not quite hitting a consistent 100 degrees in Nevada County, I don’t feel like we’re actually experiencing “hot” summer nights yet. However, I would bet that’s about to change, even if only from the heat that Summer Nights will bring to downtown Nevada City this Wednesday!
If you’ve never been, the Annual Summer Nights is a regular event in downtown on Broad Street (and by “regular”, I mean a yearly magical experience). For the next three Wednesdays in July, Broad Street will fill with local arts, handmade crafts, gorgeous classic cars, delicious and delectable food, cool drinks and fabulous music from 6PM to 9:30PM. Yes, this is another can’t-miss event in Nevada City.
What I love is that every single Summer Night is family friendly. There’s so much for kids to do here. I know how much I enjoy taking my son to these events. There’s a bounce house, face-painting, and of course, live music from top area musicians like the talented Colleen Heauser (check out her new EP) and local favorite George Souza. There are throngs of people that attend though, so be prepared for a busy, crowded (but friendly) Nevada City night.
While you visit downtown Nevada City for Summer Nights, feel free to stop by my office at the top of Broad. Even if I’m not in the office you can check out the informative local listing flyers in the window. These are all of the most recent Nevada City listings. Let’s be honest, home prices are rising in Nevada County and especially Nevada City. Interest rates are low. Now is THE time to buy (or sell)!
This year the Nevada City Chamber added a farmer’s market to Summer Nights, and will feature a different classic car show every week. You really can’t go wrong by attending this event. The only mistake would be to miss out. I’m attending tomorrow; you can attend any Wednesday this month!
If you have any upcoming local events you’d like highlighted on my blog, or questions about the local real estate market in Nevada City, email me. I’m ready to chat!
